
Karima Anbar
Karima Anbar began her career as a French diplomat, working on human rights, women’s rights, political analysis, and support for civil societies in Arab countries. She was the founding Executive Director and a Board Member of the Intisar Foundation, the first and only charitable organization (founded by Her Highness Sheikha Intisar AlSabah) operating in the Middle East to provide psychological support to women affected by war, armed conflict, trauma, and violence through drama therapy. The mission of the Intisar Foundation also includes promoting peace in the region through mental health.
Karima Anbar was also a founding member and Executive Director of Global Diwan, an international club connecting leaders from East and West, created to catalyze economic, academic, and cultural projects and initiatives through exclusive events.
She has extensive experience in fundraising and resource mobilization, with a strong track record in building strategic partnerships across the Arab world. She has developed and maintained a robust network of key donors, public funders, and private foundations, enabling her to successfully design and secure high-impact funding opportunities. Her in-depth knowledge of regional philanthropic ecosystems and institutional dynamics allows her to connect innovative initiatives with the right partners, fostering sustainable and results-driven collaborations.
